Profile of Sheikh Saadullah

Sheikh Saadullah Ahmed Arif Al-Berzanji, PhD, holder of the prestigious “Ijazah” in Islamic religious studies and holder of the Honoured “Ijazah” of Irshad (Guidance) in Islamic Spiritual Work.

-Born in Sadiyah, Diyala Province, Iraq, 1956 (1375 AH) -Received his early learning from his late father Sheikh Ahmed Arif and his late uncle Sheikh Muhammad Ma’asum Arif, God’s blessings be upon them. -Finished his primary education at Al-Sa’adiya Al-Uwla School. -Attended the Islamic School in Abu Saida district and then Abdullah Ibn Almubarek School in Ramadi -Graduated from the College of Arts, Islamic studies, 1981 (1401AH) -Was awarded the Master’s degree and PhD degree at the University of Baghdad, College of Islamic Studies, 1997 (1417 AH). – Granted the prestigious “Ijaza” in Islamic Religious Studies in 1984 (1405 AH) by the late Scholar Abdulkareem Al-Daba’an Al-Tikriti, God’s blessings be upon him. -Granted the honoured “Ijazah” of Irshad (Guidance) in Islamic Spiritual Work in 1995 (1415 AH), by the late famous scholar, the Most Honourable Sheikh Abdullah son of Sheikh Mustafa son of Sheikh Abu Bakr Al-Harshami, God’s blessings be upon them.

-Appointed as Imam at Malik Bin Anas Mosque, Al-Adil district, Baghdad, Iraq 1978 (1398 AH) -Was Principal at Sheikh Ma’aruf Al-Karkhi Islamic School -Lecturer at Imam Al-A’adham University College, College of Islamic Studies at the University of Baghdad, Iraq and lecturer at the College of Education, University of Sana’a -Lecturer at the College of Usool Al-Din, Al-Balqa University, Jordan -Awarded the prestigious “Ijaza” in Islamic Religious Studies to a group of students who are now working as Imams in Iraq and different parts of the world. -Worked in UAE (Abu Dhabi and Al-Sharjah) as Imam and preacher for 5 years from June 2005 to June 2010 (1426AH-1431AH). Sheikh Saadullah worked in Abu Dhabi at the following mosques: Darweesh Bin Karam Mosque, Fatima Bint Jamal Mosque, Mussa’ab Bin Umayr Mosque. He also worked in Al-Sharjah at Al-Bara’a Bin Azib Mosque, Al-Noor Mosque and Al-Yaqeen Mosque. -Worked as director of the Irshad (Guidance) Division at the Islamic Society in Bahrain 2015-2019, (1436AH-1440AH).
